Guild Wars 2 Wraps Up Its Secrets Of The Obscure Storyline With The Midnight King Update
The final content update for Guild Wars 2’s Secrets of the Obscure expansion is on the horizon and is slated to hit the live servers exactly a week from now on May 21. Dubbed The Midnight King, the update will introduce the final chapter of the expansion’s storyline, culminating in a decisive battle between the Astral Ward and the Kryptis forces.
“An epic new open world meta event awaits players in the Inner Nayos map, taking them to the very gates of the Citadel of Zakiros,” teases ArenaNet. “To help augment heroes’ kits, the legendary armor introduced in February’s Realm of Dreams update can be upgraded to a visually stunning second tier, and new relics will increase character build possibilities.”
The update will also open the doors to a new five-player Fractal of the Mist endgame encounter called The Lonely Tower. A new final boss will also await players in Convergences in addition to more challenging difficulty modes for all previous Convergences bosses, a new collection of Wizard’s Vault rewards, a UI update, and new in-game rewards.
