ArenaNet is gearing up to drop the second chapter of Guild Wars 2: Janthir Wilds’ quarterly expansion content on March 11. Titled Repentance, this update introduces a new map, challenging activities, and a host of rewards, all while diving deeper into the enigmatic lore of the mursaat. Here’s what players can expect.

New Map: Mistburned Barrens

• Explore the ruins of Bava Nisos, where a Mists gate once brought otherworldly titans into Tyria.
• Uncover the secrets of the mursaat, a legendary race from the original Guild Wars, and their arcane experiments that left the land scarred by spectral agony and bloodstone magic.

New Rewards and Features

• Weapon and Armor Sets: A brand-new weapon and armor set will be available for players to earn.
• Relics: Six new relics are being added, offering more build customization options.
• Wizards Vault Refresh: The Wizards Vault will feature updated rewards for players to claim.
• Minipets and Homestead Recipes: New minipets and Homestead recipes can be unlocked by completing in-game achievements.
• Mursaat Shadowcraft Mastery Track: This new mastery track will aid players in navigating the challenges and secrets of the Mistburned Barrens.

Janthir Wilds Convergence Update

• The titan Greer will be added to the Janthir Wilds Convergence mode, a 50-player activity.
• Boss rotations will alternate, providing fresh challenges for players to tackle.

Mount Balrior Raid Challenge Mode

• A more difficult challenge mode will be introduced for the Mount Balrior raid, which debuted in November’s content update.
• Players who conquer this mode will earn the most prestigious rewards.
