Guild Wars 2 Brings Back Super Adventure Box And Adds New Cosmetic Inspection Feature

Guild Wars 2’s extremely popular Super Adventure Box event is back for another round of retro platforming fun from now until May 7. This year’s event brings a whole host of updates to the special dungeon and the test zone which now features new shops, secret caves, a coin-collecting adventure, and new achievements for players to complete.

New rewards are also up for grabs, including Super Adventure Box-themed guild decorations, the new Golem Buster weapon set, new Retro-Forged set weapons, and the new Powered Shoulders armor. If you missed last year’s Powered Gloves reward, it’s also available for purchase via the event trader. Additional rewards can also be earned by completing the associated objectives in the Wizard’s Vault.

Meanwhile, the latest game update also introduced a nifty new feature for fashion-forward players in the form of a cosmetic inspection system. You can now perform what Gen Z calls a “fit check” on another player by right-clicking their portrait and selecting “Inspect Cosmetics” from the context menu which will then allow you to view that player’s equipped outfit, weapon and armor skins, and dye choices. Some cosmetics will also show you where they can be obtained.

ArenaNet notes that the feature will only provide information on equipped cosmetics and won’t show gear stats, rarities, or any infusions, sigils, and runes that the player is rolling with, nor can it be used to determine what weapons enemy players have equipped in PvP and World vs. World game modes.
