Dropzone is a 1v1 MOBA that rewards the player for their ability to multitask. In this mech style MOBA, each player uses three unique units to conquer objectives in a 15 minute match.

Dropzone Overview
Dropzone is an MOBA that has RTS elements mixed into it. Players control three pilots at a time and choose between five rigs to command for each pilot. Once both players lock in their roster they enter a 1v1 arena map and they have 15 minutes to acquire as many points as possible by fighting over objectives. The objectives are spread out around the map and vary in point value, so players needs to constantly make decisions whether they want to spread their pilots out to cover more objectives, or to commit multiple pilots to a high value objective to increase their chances of capturing it.

Development History / Background:
Dropzone is a MOBA published by Gameforge and developed by the US gaming company, Sparkypants Studios. Sparkypants Studios consists of many former Big Huge Games team . They are best known for making Rise of Nations and Civilization II. They announced the release of Dropzone for late 2016, but released as an Early Access buy-to-play title on February 15, 2017. On April 05, 2017, it was announced Dropzone would go free-to-play on April 12, 2017, which it subsequently did. The servers have been closed as of 2019.
