Gameforge Announces Dropzone, A 1v1 RTS From Ex-Rise Of Nations Developers

Dropzone, a new 1v1 RTS from Sparkypants Studios. Sparkypants is made up of industry veterans that worked on Rise of Nations and Civilization II, among other titles. Dropzone is created using the company's proprietary Sparkle Engine, which boasts 4K , "responsive controls," and "robust online play."

In Dropzone, each player controls three pilots, each of which is assigned its own Rig and gear. Each pilot specializes in the use of a specific type of Rig—Gunner, Mechanic, or Tank—but can be mixed and matched regardless. According to the press release, "choices are limited only by imagination and personal skill."

Players then take their three-man squad into intense, 15 minute 1v1 battles. The game boasts "easily understandable rules" and both replay and spectator modes.
