HoYoverse has unveiled Version 1.6 for Zenless Zone Zero, its stylish action RPG set in the cyberpunk city of New Eridu. Launching March 12, the update introduces a tense auction storyline, two new S-Rank characters, and fresh gameplay modes, including a third-person shooter segment.
Main Story: Auction for Sacrifice
Proxies (players) are tasked by New Eridu’s mayor to secure a mysterious artifact tied to the Sacrifice, a central plot element. Competing against factions like the phantom thieves Mockingbird, players must navigate alliances with ambiguous figures like Hugo and Vivian.

- Soldier 0 - Anby (S-Rank Electric Attack): Former leader of the Silver Squad, wielding dual swords to trigger Aftershock and boost ally CRIT damage.
- Trigger (S-Rank Electric Stun): A sniper from the Obol Squad with a Sniper Mode that enhances team damage via Purge stacks.
