Wuthering Waves Details Version 2.4 Update, "Lightly We Toss the Crown"

Kuro Games has outlined the contents of the version 2.4 update for their action RPG, Wuthering Waves. Titled "Lightly We Toss the Crown," this update is set to launch on June 12 across all platforms, introducing new story content, characters, weapons, and a new region to explore.

Wuthering Waves is a free-to-play title in the popular open-world action RPG genre, known for its combat system and exploration. While available on PC, the game was originally designed for mobile. It aims to compete with similar open world gacha style games like Genshin Impact.

New features in 2.4:

• Two new main story quests will be added: Chapter II Act V - Shadow of Glory and Chapter II Act VI - Flames of Heart.
• The update introduces a new region called Septimont.
• Two new playable characters, or Resonators, Cartethyia and Lupa, are set to be added.
• New weapons, Defier’s Thorn and Wildfire Mark, will be available.
• Several new Echoes, which are collectible creatures players can utilize in combat, are being introduced, including Lioness of Glory, Nightmare: Kelpie, and Kerasaur, among others.
• New Sonata Effects, which provide set bonuses for equipped Echoes, are being added: Windward Pilgrimage (Aero DMG focus) and Flaming Clawprint (Fusion DMG focus).
• New Echo Aspects offering unique abilities like gliding and flight will be obtainable through special events.
• A new permanent challenge, Banners Never Fall, is being added.
• A new Tactical Hologram challenge featuring Kelpie will be available.
• Several optimizations are listed, including an in-game Guide Depot for character builds and team compositions, a Main Quest Focus Mode to prevent character/location lockouts during quests, and a Global Filter feature for visual adjustments on PC, PS5, and Mac.
• A "Main Quest Fast Track Event" called "Next Stop: Rinascita" is detailed, allowing players to access Version 2.0 content sooner after reaching Jinzhou.
• Various limited-time events are planned for the update, including exploration events, a photo collection event, a 7-day event, and combat challenges.

Players can claim 10 Radiant Tide by logging in after the update via in-game mail through the Gifts of Grand Opening event. Additionally, temporary CDK reward codes "SHADOWOFGLORY," "FLAMESOFHEART," and "AGONISON" were shared during the preview broadcast, which expire on June 1, 2025.
