Multiplayer Anime RPG Wuthering Waves Launches On PC And Mobile Later This Month
Genshin Impact fans have another anime RPG to look forward to as Chinese developer Kuro Games announces Wuthering Waves, an open-world co-op game that takes plenty of cues from the popular cross-platform game, right down to its gacha monetization model.
Wuthering Waves is set in the colorful, cel-shaded world of Solaris-3 where players will face off against monsters called Tacet Discords as they the ranks of powerful warriors called Resonators.
“Wuthering Waves is a story-rich open-world action RPG with a high degree of freedom. You wake from your slumber as Rover, ed by a vibrant cast of Resonators on a journey to reclaim your lost memories and surmount the Lament.”
Gameplay and combat are similar to Genshin Impact’s where you’ll travel across the game world and fight as a team of three characters, each of which can be swapped out depending on the situation or your personal preference.
The game is slated to launch on PC via the Epic Games Store and the official site as well as on Android and iOS devices on May 22. Kuro Games is currently running a pre-registration campaign with an exclusive title up for grabs.
