Wayfinder Reduces Queue Times In Preparation For The Weekend Rush

Wayfinder founder’s pack owners continue to struggle with ridiculously long queues two weeks after the action fantasy MMORPG launched into early access. Airship Syndicate, however, has been working hard to reduce the wait time with a server upgrade earlier this week and another one last night along with matchmaking changes in preparation for the expected onslaught of players this weekend.

“We have eliminated the bottleneck on the matchmaking branch of our server system and we are ready to see what this puppy can handle,” the studio reported on Discord. “If you aren’t logged in at the moment, we would ask you to NOW ! We want to see how much we can push the limit of these servers before the weekend and before the second flood of players who have been waiting for stability before hopping into Evenor.”

“It has been a long and bloody week, but the team has been pushing hard and has no intention of stopping anytime soon. Thank you everyone for the tremendous , this party is just getting started,” they added.

Players still reported queues as of this morning, although the waiting time seems to be shorter than before, although the real test will come this weekend, particularly during peak hours. Meanwhile, Steam reviews are still “Mostly Negative” and will probably stay that way until the developers can resolve the ongoing server issues. Still, the overall tone of the review is still positive and the community remains hopeful.

Fortunately, they’ve still got a few months to prepare the servers for Wayfinder’s free-to-play launch next year which will undoubtedly see a whole lot more players descend on the action MMORPG title.
