V Rising Is Coming To PlayStation 5 This Year Alongside Its Version 1.0 Launch On Steam
V Rising is opening its towering gothic castles to a new blood-crazed audience as the vampire-themed multiplayer survival game prepares to make its way to PlayStation 5 alongside its Version 1.0 release later this year. The PS5 version will be at par with the PC release in of content, although it’s unclear whether cross-play, or at the very least cross-save, will be available between the two platforms.
“This will mark V Rising and Stunlock Studios’ first step in expanding beyond the PC space into the world of consoles, and we’re proud to partner with Sony for this tremendous adventure,” says developer Stunlock Studios. “Our partnership underscores a commitment to excellence, empowering us to navigate this uncharted territory with precision while giving us space to innovate.”
The studio also revealed plans to introduce controller for the PC version but they’ve yet to announce a timeline for its release. An Xbox or Nintendo Switch launch might also be in the cards for the survival sandbox game with the help of third-party developer Auroch Digital.
“With additional from our friends at Auroch Digital, we’ve laid the groundwork for exploring other platforms and constructing a grand staircase that V Rising can climb to soaring new heights,” touts the studio. “Their help has allowed us to focus on developing the game itself, including UI improvements and game controller , all without compromising on our goal to bring the full 1.0 of V Rising to the PlayStation 5 in its complete glory!”
