Titanfall No Longer Available For Purchase, Servers Will Remain Online

After over 7 years in operation, Respawn Entertainment has retired the original Titanfall game and have pulled it off of digital storefront’s shelves. The game will no longer be available for purchase and will be removed from game subscription services by March 2022.

The studio, however, won’t be pulling the plug on the servers just yet and will continue to remain online for players who get the urge to jump into the cockpit of their old Titans.

While Titanfall’s history might not be the brightest as far as first-person shooters go, there are some players who have voiced their disappointment over Respawn’s decision to discontinue the game, rampant hacking and persistent server issues aside. The studio assures fans that the game and the franchise will continue to live on in future games.

“Rest assured, Titanfall is core to Respawn’s DNA and this incredible universe will continue. Today in Apex Legends, and in the future,” tweeted Respawn. “This franchise is a north star for the caliber of experiences we will continue to create here at Respawn.”
