The Division 2 Rolls Back Player Progress And Temporarily Disables PvP Game Modes

Ubisoft has earlier this month. The rollback was expected to be completed earlier today and players should now see their Expertise levels adjusted to appropriate level upon logging in to the game.

“We have made updates following the discovery of a mistake in the amount of Proficiency points gained from kill XP and have been forced to recalculate every player’s progress,” explained Ubisoft. “The expected Expertise level cap for Season 9 is 20 and allowing higher levels now will have considerable impact on the long-term balance of the game.”

The rollback will also affect item upgrades which Ubisoft will be compensating players for in the form of SHD caches and upgrade materials. The caches and materials will be available later this week although the team notes that there may be “discrepancies” between the materials received as compensation and the actual materials used since they lack in-game data to be able to return the exact amount for each player.

Meanwhile, the team has also temporarily restricted access to PvP game modes while they fix a bug that caused item upgrades to be reset to zero when playing Conflict. All PvP game modes will be unavailable until a fix can be deployed.
