The Division 2 Kicks Off Season 9, Adds New Story Content And New Game Mode

Season 9 has officially begun in Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 alongside the arrival of new content in Update 15: Hidden Alliance. The latest season moves the running narrative forward and introduces new manhunt targets to take down, the new Expertise progression system, and the new Countdownd game mode.

“Countdown is a new 8-player endgame mode for The Division 2. Two groups of four SHD agents are deployed into a power plant to prevent a lockdown. Racing against the clock, the agents must work together to secure the site and stabilize the power plant. Believing their mission is complete the agents prepare for extraction and are pursued by heavily armed and technologically advanced hostiles.”

Update 15 also comes with several new pieces of gear, including 3 new Exotic Weapons, 1 new gear brand, 1 new gear set, and 2 new weapons. Players can also look forward to new cosmetics in the Fairview and Street Activation apparel events. A new season is also available for $10 featuring additional cosmetic rewards and a chance to obtain season gear.
