Sea Of Thieves Previews Season 10 And Teases ‘Safer Seas’ Private Multiplayer Worlds

It’s been a long time coming, but Rare is finally gearing up for the start of Season 10 in Sea of Thieves. Season 10 is set to begin on October 19th and will introduce several new features to the pirate MMO, including the new Skull of Siren Song dynamic event and a basic version of guilds.

Guilds in Sea of Thieves are basically groups of up to 24 players that voluntarily band together to take on various in-game challenges. Guild will also be able to contribute to increasing the guild’s reputation.

Further down the pipeline, players can also expect the addition of private worlds called Safer Seas sometime this December. The private worlds will offer a more casual experience for both new and veteran players but will be capped at a maximum of four players per world. PvP and guilds will be disabled in these worlds so you won’t have to worry about griefing. XP gains and loot drops, however, will be reduced by 30%.

In the meantime, you can check out a preview of Season 10’s contents in the new developer video below.
