Lord Of The Rings Online: Corsairs Of Umbar Launches November 1st, Pre-Orders Now Available
Since Standing Stone Games announced Lord of the Rings Online’s Corsair of Umbar expansion, the studio has been unusually tight-lipped about when the expansion will be coming out or when pre-orders will be available. Today, the studio answered both questions, announced a tentative release date and opening pre-orders for the expansion.
Another surprise announcement is that the swashbuckling Mariner class can now be unlocked by those who pre-order Corsairs of Umbar, although it won’t officially go live until the expansion’s release. Aside from the new class, the expansion will also open up the new Shores of Umbar zone, add new monsters, bump up the level cap to 150, and introduce over 350 new quests that will pit players against the Kindred of the Coins as they navigate political intrigues and solve ancient mysteries.

The Corsairs of Umbar expansion will set you back $39.99 for the Standard Edition, $79.99 for the Collector’s Edition, and $129.99 for the Ultimate Edition. The expansion is set to launch on November 1st with new instances and raids to follow. In the interest of transparency, Standing Stone said that should the expansion’s launch be delayed, it won’t be later than December 1st for the initial content and no later than March 2024 for the raid and instances.
