Last Epoch Hands Out Bee Pets And An Autumn Cape As Version 1.0 Launch Woes Persist

Version 1.0 launch earlier this week and its servers are buckling from the strain. Developer Eleventh Hour Games, however, has remained extremely forthcoming about what it’s doing to address the issues and promises bee pets all around as compensation, a fitting gift since they’re likely busy as bees trying to fix everything that’s wrong with the launch version.

A running server status thread reveals that online multiplayer is currently a mess, in addition to problems related to logging in, matchmaking, transitioning from one zone to another, and its refer-a-friend system. The developers rolled out at least four hotfixes and updates throughout the day to help improve the gameplay experience for both solo and group play, but it looks like they’ve got a lot more work ahead of them.

In the meantime, Eleventh Hour has posted instructions on how to play the game offline which should not only offer a better gameplay experience but also help reduce the strain on the servers. The studio is also handing out an autumnal wrap cosmetic and all three bee pet rewards from its temporarily disabled refer-a-friend program. Players will receive the gifts no later than March 1.

The giveaways don’t seem to be doing to much to assuage the community’s disappointment though. Steam reviews are still “Mixed” even as the online ARPG sets a new all-time concurrency record of 197,452 players and further compounds the server issues.
