Elite Dangerous' Engineers Expansion Enters Beta Tomorrow

Frontier confirmed in a livestream yesterday that the Elite Dangerous: Horizons expansion The Engineers will be entering Beta tomorrow. The Beta will be exclusive to those who bought an Elite Dangerous: Horizons Beta before Horizons launched and those who hold lifetime expansion es.

More details about the expansion were revealed alongside the announcement. Upgrades will have a certain amount of randomness to them. Supposedly, the randomness is "controlled." Crafting will be done through Engineers that players take looted resources to. Each of the Engineers has its own backstory and prerequisites that must be met in order to be invited by them. Some resources will only be obtained through missions.
