DC Universe Online Will Be Rolling Out An Electrifying New Episode This Spring
DC Universe Online has finally announced a new episode and it’s going to be an electrifying one as teenage superhero Static makes his way to the superhero MMORPG in Episode 45: Shock to the System. Static will be the focal point of the episode which will send players to the Milestone universe in Dakota City to either help solve whatever crisis is happening there or make it worse depending on which side you chose.
“Dakota City’s just built different. The Big Bang attack that created new heroes, villains, and victims has drawn sinister, otherworldly attention. Ebon’s powers cast a long shadow, but it’s the Apokoliptian Parademons that has Static shocked enough to you. Why are people disappearing, why has Apokolips turned its attention to Dakota City, and will you be able to take on such a shadowy threat?”
As with previous episodes, both heroes and villains can expect new On Duty content, open world missions, and world bosses that come in Duo, Alert, and Raid varieties. We still have a few more months to wait though as Episode 45 won’t be coming out until this spring.
Dimensional Ink Games has also teased a new emote system coming in the first quarter of 2023 and a next-gen console launch later this year. You can check out the studio’s latest development update on the DC Universe Online official site.
