Das Tal Playtest Schedule And March Development Plans Unveiled
Fairytale Distillery announced yesterday that Das Tal's March playtest will be held on March 15th. It will be a two-week, clan-focused test for US players. Solo players from the Alpha invite list will also be invited, but the focus will be clans.
This will be followed by a "massive," 30-day Spring Alpha that will likely take place in May. The developers are planning to run through multiple game worlds in their entirety during this test and even want players to help choose the rulesets. Everyone who signs up for the Alpha by the end of February will get in, but the developers cannot guarantee that anyone else will.
Over the course of March, a number of changes will be made to existing systems. Respawns will be tuned to "make it clearer for you when you’ll respawn where," as well as making the option to either wait or release "more interesting." Flag Capturing during sieges will be streamlined in order to spread each side of the fight out more and help clarify "who owns what." Abilities will be rebalanced. The world map will be expanded to add two player settlements, more resources, and more camps.
