Aion Classic 4.0 Update Adds New Luminess Class, Dungeons, and Raids Next Week
Aion Classic, the long-running fantasy MMORPG from NC America, is getting a major content update on June 17, 2025. The new 4.0 patch introduces the Luminess class, fresh dungeons, additional raids, and a new endgame zone, marking a significant expansion for players both new and returning.
First launched in 2008, Aion has maintained a loyal following thanks to its blend of PvE and PvP content, unique flight mechanics, and a consistent rollout of new material. The Classic version aims to recapture the original experience while steadily adding new features and classes. With this update, players can expect several notable changes:
- New Class: Luminess – The Luminess is an action mage specializing in long-range spellcasting. This class can use instant-cast abilities, provide team buffs, and utilize skill combos to paralyze, bind, and stun enemies, as well as reduce their attack speeds. It’s the first time Aion Classic has introduced an action-oriented mage class.
- Level Cap Increase – The maximum level rises to 65, allowing for more progression and new skills to unlock.
- Two New Dungeons – Players can enter the Fortress of Determination, which offers multiple run modes, including a timed boss fight and a speed run option for better rewards. The Labyrinth of Reunion introduces seasonal bosses, starting with Tahabata the Pyrelord, and promises ongoing variety through rotating challenges.
- New Outdoor Zone: Tiamaranta Mesa – This endgame region combines aerial and ground combat, enabling players to battle for strongholds and floating islands. The area also features three new raid encounters: Arch Tatar, Brigade General Sunayaka, and Dredgion.
- Anniversary Rewards – The update lands alongside Aion Classic’s 4th anniversary, with free in-game rewards available to celebrate the milestone.
