The 2016 LoL KeSPA Cup is a tournament organized by KeSPA, Riot Games, and NAVER that features 14 teams from Korea. These teams play for ₩ 100,000,000 Won (~$87,547 USD) and a qualification for IEM X Gyeonggi. The tournament currently in progress and goes from November 9 to 19.

IEM Season XI - Oakland is the second event of IEM Season XI and takes place at the Oracle Arena in Oakland, California. The tournament features eight teams divided into two groups. The top two teams from each group qualify for the Playoffs. The games take place from November 19-20.
The iBUYPOWER Masters 2016 is a tournament taking place from November 12-13. With $100,000 USD on the line, eight teams played a group stage and a grand finals. The winner, the Immortals, won $20,000 and the top four places (IMT, C9, TyLoo, FaZe) got a seed to IEM Oakland.

The Northern Arena 2016 tournament in Montreal, Canada took place from November 11-13. Eight different teams played for a $100,000 USD prize pool. OpTic Gaming was the final victor winning $50,000 USD.

The ECS, or Esports Championship Series, is in its second season. Ten teams from both Europe and North America are in a round robin and playing against each other in two best-of-one series. The regional stage lasts from October 7th to November 13th. The top four teams advance to the Season 2 Finals while the bottom two teams are relegated to the Season 3 Promotion.
The Season Two Finals take place from December 9-11th at the Anaheim Arena in California. As the largest CS:GO event ever in Southern California, the top four teams from NA and EU will be competing for over $750,000.
ELEAGUE was the first CS:GO league to be streamed on broadcast television and has just started its second season. With a $1,100,000 USD prize pool, the league goes from October 21st to December 03.

The Dota2 Professional League is China's first large-scale individual eSports league. There are two leagues: the Top League and Secondary League, with ten teams in each. Each team plays in a best-of-two Round Robin. With a prize pool of $900,000 USD, the tournament runs from September 19th to December 31st.

Organized by DreamHack, DreamLeague Season 6 League Play featured eight teams competing to advance to the offline finals. This first part of the tournament gave $1,000 USD for each win and the top four teams had a chance to play in the Finals for a $175,000 prize. This portion of the tournament took place from October 11th to November 8th.

The Northern Arena BEAT Invitational featured 8 teams playing for a $100,000 USD prizepool in Montreal from November 10-13. All eight teams were directly invited. Wings Gaming was the ultimate victor beating Team NP 2-0 in their dominating run.

Overwatch APEX is Overwatch's first major tournament in Korea. With about $178,000 USD on the line, 16 teams from around the world will be competing from October 7th to December 3rd. The format involves a Round Robin where all matches are best-of-five with the top two teams advancing to the Playoffs. The Playoffs have best-of-five Quarterfinals and Semifinals and a best-of-seven Final.

The Overwatch League is starting in 2017 by Blizzard where each team will represent a city around the world. The owners of each team take an active role in developing players, internal structures, and team roles. The league also guarantees stability for teams and players. This format deviates from other leagues that have relegation systems. This league is Blizzard's attempt to dethrone League of Legends as the top eSport and spells exciting things for the industry going forward. Watch the videos below for more information!
