Jump into the driver’s seat of real-world cars and take to the streets of famous locations around the world in World of Speed, an 3D racing MMO from one of the creators of Need For Speed. Choose from a huge variety of cars, from Mitsubishi and Toyota tuner cars to supercars from Italian car-manufacturer Pagani. Customize your cars look and fine tune its performance with numerous car parts. Race through the streets of iconic real-world locations from the Trafalgar Square in London to Chinatown in San Francisco. Recruit other players and form racing teams with each driver performing specific roles in the race. or form Motor Clubs to participate in Territory Battles for control of entire cities. Purchase and collect more cars as you win races and show them off in your very own garage.

Development History / Background:
World of Speed is being developed by Slightly Mad Studios, a London-based game developer notable for developing Need for Speed: Shift, and is being published by Armored Warfare. The game was announced on August 13, 2014 with a proposed closed beta date of Q4 2014 and was initially planned to be released in 2014. World of Speed has since been delayed without a new release date announced and it has disappeared off of My.com's portal. The game re-appeared and launched into early access on Steam on August 22, 2017. The game was shut down on December 25, 2018.
