Pangaea: New World Overview
Pangaea: New World is an survival MMO that incorporates RPG elements in a post-apocalyptic world. Travel across more than 90km² (or ~60 miles) of lush environments brimming with fauna, creatures, and hostile players. Mysterious anomalies pocket-mark the landscape, with unique appearances that create dangerous traps such as electric fields or warp the player's visual senses. Be careful what you kill in Pangaea's world. An intelligent ecosystem links flora and fauna together; disrupt the balance and an entire species may be doomed. Take on quests from NPCs, and undertake dynamic quests that respond to world events, such as the murder of an NPC's family. Protect settlements from raiding mutants motivated by hunger. Or the loss of a village will rescale the balance of politics in the game's world.
Pangaea: New World Key Features:
- Enormous World - explore approximately 90km² (or ~60 miles) of vast terrain.
- Interdependent Ecosystem - flora and fauna are intimately linked, destruction of one will have drastic implications for the other.
- Anomalies - discover mysterious anomalies that create various effects, from tornado's to warped player senses.
- "Real Market" - trade goods and services with other players, such as tasking a player to steal from another player.
- Dynamic Quests - undertake novel quests dependent on world events, such as the murder of an NPC child will assign you a quest to seek vengeance.

Development History / Background:
Pangaea: New World is a developed by Russian independent game studio LVR Studio. Built on Unreal Engine 4, Pangaea's development team has announced that their game will not release into an Early Access state. The game was posted to Kickstarter on November 25, 2015, but crowdfunding was cancelled on December 10, 2015. It was posted to Steam Greenlight on Septemeber 22, 2015 and subsequently greenlit on September 24, 2015. The game is scheduled for release sometime in the fourth quarter of 2016. The game was abandoned by September 27, 2015.
