Naval Action Overview
Naval Action is an open world naval combat game set in the Caribbean during the 18th Century. Sail the world in beautifully modeled ships. Explore a historically accurate map with historically accurate navigational means. Take part in intense, realistically-paced 50-player instanced battles with an extremely complex damage model that allows for individual guns or crew to be hit. Become a trader, buying low in one port and selling high in another. Have the freedom to do what you want, including becoming a pirate.

Development History / Background:
Naval Action is developed by Game Labs, a Ukranian company that also developed Ultimate General: Gettysburg. Naval Action was announced on June 17, 2013. Pre-orders opened mid-2014. Access to an early alpha build was given to the first set of pre-orders on November 24, 2014. Pre-orders were closed in early 2015 due to the game's overwhelming popularity, though players could still be offered the chance to pre-order by asking the developers nicely or by being an active member of the forums. Naval Action officially entered Early Access on Steam on January 21, 2016.
