Grimoire: Manastorm Overview
In Grimoire: Manastorm two great houses of wizardry feud in the streets over the power of the Grimoire, placing players on either side of a conflict under the banners of House Magnus or House Validus. Grimoire is a unique FPS that pits powerful mages against each other in multiplayer arenas, blending the skillful positioning and twitch-based combat of first-person shooter games with MOBA-inspired spells that inspire tactical gameplay and intelligent spell countering. Every spell cast has a counter, making it possible to avoid quick death by playing intelligently. Choose one of the game's six wizard classes specializing in different elements, wielding four primary class spells, ive abilities, and two unique spells from a shared pool to devastate your foes in combat. Pick from multiple maps and two distinct game modes: Conquest, the game's unique equivalent of capture the point, and Free-For-All, where players can freely try out the game without worrying about objectives.

Grimoire: Manastorm is being developed and published for Steam by Omniconnection, a California-based game developer. The game was initially placed on Kickstarter with a playable demo on September 12, 2014, with a funding goal of $42,000, along with a Steam Greenlight page. The Kickstarter did not meet its funding goal, raising only $9,655 of its $42,000 goal, although the game was greenlit on Steam on October 12, 2014. The game released as an Early Access title on February 4, 2015 using a buy-to-play model to fund its development. The game originally launched as buy to play but later went free to play.
