Tower Of Fantasy Will Be Launching On PlayStation In August Without Cross-Play
We all know that controversial announcement earlier this month, but there’s still the question of when it’ll be launching on Sony’s console. Apparently, that’s going to happen in a little over a month as its publisher confirms a launch date of August 8th.
The PlayStation version promises an enhanced gaming experience thanks to controller haptic , 4K resolution graphics, and bumped up frame rates. While the PlayStation version holds great promise, it's worth noting that proper cross-play functionality will not be available. Although not mentioned in the press release, this issue was previously addressed by developer Hotta Studio, with the blame being placed solely on Perfect World.
“While we wish that the PlayStation version was not an independent journey for Tower of Fantasy players, we will do our best to continue to optimise our PC and mobile gaming experience and deliver new and engaging content for you to enjoy,” said Hotta Studio.
The press release also boasts an “active player base of over tens of millions.” However, considering the recent server mergers happening worldwide, there’s undoubtedly skepticism about the accuracy of this claim.
Stay tuned for more updates and information as the launch date draws near.
