Ubisoft announced today that The Division's long-awaited Beta phase—previously scheduled to occur this month—has slipped into 2016. Despite the Beta delay, "the team remains committed to delivering an open-world action-RPG experience that exceeds your expectations on March 8, 2016." As such, the Beta will be made available to all pre-orders in "early 2016."

Replacing the Beta phase this month is an Xbox One-exclusive Alpha test. All Xbox One pre-order customers will have access to the Alpha from December 9th at 1 AM PST to December 12th at 12 AM PST. The Alpha client will be a 23.2 GB . There will be an NDA in place for this test. It may be the first time that more than the Dark Zone PvP areas are enabled, but we won't be able to see it just yet.
