Rocket League Is Getting A New Mode Called "Dropshot" On March 22nd

Rocket League, will be getting a new mode called "Dropshot" on March 22nd. Dropshot takes place in a hexagonal arena, requiring players to use an "electrified" ball to break holes in the opposing team's side of the field that will become that team's goal. As the match progresses and players repeatedly hit the ball, it will "gain strength," allowing it to deal more damage to the floor.

Dropshot will be a free addition to the game that will be available "as its own online Playlist and in both Private and Exhibition matches." You can see the new mode in action in the video embedded below.

Additionally, Competitive Season 4 is set to begin on March 22nd alongside the release of the new Dropshot mode.
