Roblox Revenues Are Up For Q2 2022 As Its Net Losses Continue To Mount
More and more players have been flocking to Roblox over the past few months but it seems like they’re spending considerably less on the game according to the Roblox Corporation’s Q2 2022 earnings report.
The company report reports a total revenue of $591.2 million for the quarter which translates to a 30% increase compared to the same quarter last year. It’s net losses, however, continue to mount at $176.4 million for Q2 2022, 26% more than the losses it incurred in Q2 2021. The game’s Average Daily Active s (DAU) have also grown by 21% year over year to 52.2 million but the average bookings per DAU has dipped by 21%. Overall bookings have also dropped by 4%.
So far, Roblox Corporation’s total losses for the current fiscal year stand at $336.6 million, a 22% increase over the $274.4 million net loss it posted for the same period last year. For context, the company reported a net loss of $491.7 million for the full year of 2021.
However, it looks like things are starting to look up for the company as it reports a 26% increase in revenue and daily active s in July. Booking are also up between 8% to 10% last month at $243 million to $247 million although average bookings were still down year over year.
Meanwhile, the company continues its efforts to expand Roblox’s target audience to different age groups and markets.
