Nexon Announces New Overgeared PC And Mobile MMORPG Codenamed Project T
mobile MMORPG called Project T that’s based on the popular Overgeared web manga series which has been running for 11 years and has been viewed 1.3 billion times in South Korea alone.
The game is currently being developed by newly founded South Korean video game developer GRAYGAMES in partnership with the manga’s creator Redice Studio. While the game will be set in the same universe as the manga, it will apparently feature an all-original cast of characters, as revealed in the official press release.
“The story is based on the adventures of Young-woo Shin, who accidentally gains transcendental power while playing a game set in the medieval era,” Nexon announced. “Project T inherits the Overgeared’s unique virtual reality and various contents including ‘Hidden Quest’, ‘Hidden Class’, ‘Epic’, and ‘Craft System’ in a worldview that combines fantasy and medieval settings. Featuring unique original characters and a highly immersive story, players can create a world together through founding a nation, war battle, and the granting of titles, all incorporating the original worldview.”
Nexon confirmed that Project T will be launching globally but has yet to announce a launch date or a launch window for the in-development game. We’ll let you know as soon as more information comes to light.
