PlanetSide 2 Sees 60% Increase In Concurrent Players, Breaks Own Guinness World Record
PlanetSide 2 breaks its own Guinness World Record for “Most Players in a Single FPS Battle”. According to Executive Producer Andy Sites, 1,283 players participated in an epic battle on Esamir during the weekend and breaking their 2015 world record of 1,158 players.
The sci-fi shooter also saw a 60% increase in players in February and in the last 30 days, reaching a peak concurrency of over 7,600 players. The game is has also made it to Steam’s Top Selling Games list thanks to the recently-released Escalation update and the COVID-19 quarantines all across the globe.
