Palia Launches On Steam Alongside Spring Update And Giving Away A ‘Ribbiting’ Plushie
Palia has expanded its ongoing open beta test to include a new set of potential testers it officially makes its way to Steam. To celebrate the cozy free-to-play MMO’s Steam debut and for reaching the wishlist goal, developer Singularity 6 is giving away a giant frog plushie to everyone, regardless of what platform they’re playing on.
“As we open the garden gates, new and seasoned Palians can sow the seeds of friendship and adventure by ing Palia for free via our Steam page,” the studio announced. “And the sooner the better – since the Steam community came together to wishlist Palia, players will have 30 days from today to log-in and receive a giant in-game Frogbert plush that has grown a [ribbiting] 5x in size! And who said bigger is better? Consider checking out Kilima Village and you might find a more tadpole-sized treat.”
The mega massive frog plushie will also tie in with Palia’s April Fools’ Day event next week, so stay tuned. Meanwhile, the Spring update is now live on all platforms featuring the new Temple of the Roots instance, an expanded gardening system, wedding outfits, new house decorations, and the ability to customize controller keybindings.
It’s also worth noting that Palia isn’t tagged as an early access game on Steam despite still being in open beta. It doesn’t look like Singularity 6 quietly launch the game into full release either based on the numbering of the latest patch. In any case, the game is now free to and play on the platform.
