Palia Is Slowing Down Update Releases But Promises ‘Just As Much Content’
Since back in August, developer Singularity 6 has been working at breakneck speed to polish the cozy life sim and keep it updated with new content. Unfortunately, the team its that it can no longer keep up the pace.
Going forward, the team says that it will be taking more time between updates while making sure that content releases remain roughly the same as before.
“Going into 2024, we’re going to adjust our cadence to be closer to one major update a month (with room for some content drops in between), especially now that Palia is on multiple platforms,” says Singularity 6. “Of course, we want to clarify: this isn’t to say that we’ll be adding less overall. If anything, it’ll be just as much content, but at a different pace than what was done before. The intention is to ensure our updates are at a quality level that the game deserves to be, and what you, as our players, deserve to experience.”
In line with the new release cadence, Patch 0.176 is now expected to hit the live servers by the end of January or early February. The update will bring Winterlight festivities to a close and will bring back the Maji Market in time for “Luna New Year.”
“Expect an even bigger and better event in store at the fairgrounds,” teases the devs. “Exciting new activities such as a hotpot game inspired by mahjong will make their debut. And of course, tons of new fireworks, foods, and furniture options for Palians to grab while enjoying the event.”
The team also touched on plans to address bugs, streamline character progression, adjust resource nodes, and keep the in-game economy balanced. More information can be found on the Palia official site.
