Mabinogi Launches Part 1 of Summer Update, Part 2 Launches in July

Mabinogi launched part 1 of its summer update which expanded the game's commerce systems by introducing bartering, new ports, and new merchant areas. For a full list of new features check out the game's micro-site.

In order to give Mabinogi’s world of Erinn a more connected, energetic feel, ports have been reborn and a trade union was created featuring large ships to get players to their destinations faster. Build your merchant empire thanks to a brand new trade shop in Iria selling limited time items, and beneficial trade system changes that expand the Trading life skill with a host of economic additions. Rentable transportation, in the form of camels and dog sleds, are now available to be used for player trade runs.

Part 2 of Mabinogi's summer update is set to launch on July 28th and will allow players to party up with other merchants and move goods through the skies. More info on part 2 will be available a bit closer to release.

While Mabinogi isn't super popular in the West (it averages 395 players online on Steam, though most players likely don't play on Steam), it still gets updated regularly and has been running continuously since 2008.
