Standing Stone Games is ramping up testing for As previously revealed, Update 39 will kick off a brand-new chapter in the Corsairs of Umbar storyline and will open up the expansion’s final set instances.
Considering that its an endgame expansion, one of the biggest complaints about Corsairs of Umbar was that it lacked challenging content. Update 39 will finally scratch that itch with the addition of two new 3-player encounters, a 6-player dungeon, and the expansion’s pinnacle 12-player raid. The Delving system will also be expanded with the addition of Epic Malices, which the team promises to expound on soon.
The team has now reopened the Bullroarer test server to begin testing a subset of the new instances as well as the Delving system’s new Elderslade missions. They’re also rolling out a small patch on the live servers tomorrow, February 7, which will conclude the holiday-themed Hobbit Gifts event and will lay the groundwork for a new legendary reward track that’s set to arrive on February 14. Standing Stone will also start selling the River Hobbit race for LOTRO Points on the same day.
Cordovan offers more information about the team’s short term plans in his latest Cord of the Rings livestream below.
