Lineage 1 Profit Exceeds Blade and Soul, Aion, Lineage 2, and GW2 combined
WildStar combined. Lineage launched worldwide in 1998, but the U.S. version of the game has since shut down, but the South Korean servers remain extremely popular.
Most Western gamers see Lineage 1 as an old and dying game, but it out-earned all of NCSoft's newest games combined. Given the game's age, development costs are likely on the low end too, making it extremely profitable. NCSoft hasn't had much like with their games otuside of South Korea - hopefully free to play Wildstar and Tera and become extremely successful after the transition from pay to play to free to play.
Update: Math. Revenues from Lineage 2, Aion, B&S, GW2, and Wildstar combined are marginally higher than Lineage 1, but given that these games are newer, they are likely much less profitable per dollar in revenue as Lineage is.
