Gloria Victis Has Shut Down While Its Siege Survival Spinoff Remains Playable On Steam
the unfortunate decision to sunset the medieval title back in August, saying that it hadn’t performed as well as they’d hoped and that they had simply run out of funds.
It’s not that no one was playing the game as it regularly logged a peak daily concurrency of around 600 players for the past five years up until the sunset announcement. Apparently, that wasn’t enough to sustain operations and the developers were ultimately forced to throw in the towel.
Don’t expect to see Gloria Victis resurrected as a private server either. It’s not because Black Eye is opposed the idea, but because the game’s infrastructure has made it “impossible” to transfer the required code and data over to the community.
In any case, the game will live on in developer Black Eye Game’s survival spinoff, Siege Surival: Gloria Victis. The game is still available to purchase and on Steam, at least for the time being as it isn’t showing any promise either.
