Final Stand: Ragnarok Drops Patch 1.0 Hot On The Heels Of Its Early Access Launch

Final Stand: Ragnarok has officially made the leap to full release hot on the heels of its third early access launch two weeks ago. Patch 1.0 dropped just before the weekend, bringing visual improvements to multiple zones, health and mana bars, the Arena terrain, and all five of the current champions and their respective skins.

The update also introduced key balance changes, including adjustments to the cooldown times of ultimate abilities which now consume mana when used. The developers also added Reporting and Muting systems to help reduce toxicity in the game. “If you run into a troublemaker or ne’er-do-well, simply click on their name in the game’s menu in order to report them so we can take care of it,” they explained.

Patch 1.0 also marked the completion of the co-op tower defense spinoff’s core gameplay content with the promise of additional features and more content to come. That includes a new MMO-like indoor scenario called the Dungeon Maze.

Unfortunately, both launches have done nothing to bolster its nearly non-existent playerbase. Final Stand: Ragnarok has yet to sur its all-time peak player count of 37 players from a little over a year ago. Only one player was online as of this writing, with a 24-hour peak of just four players, which doesn’t bode well for a game where grouping up is all but mandatory if you want to succeed.
