EverQuest Players Complain About Darkpaw’s Lack Of Response To A Duping Exploit
EverQuest players are voicing their concerns over Darkpaw Games’ seemingly inadequate response to a recent duping exploit in the free-to-play MMORPG’s progression servers. The team rolled out a hotfix for the exploit itself last week but arguably failed to address its economy-breaking effects, particularly on the price of platinum.
The influx of duped platinum and material in the market subsequently caused the price of platinum to plummet and the platinum value of krono to inflate. For context, krono is a tradeable consumable that can be bought from the marketplace or other players and grants 30 days of hip time and its associated perks.
Meanwhile, Darkpaw Games remains silent on the matter while the community floods the official forums with calls to fix the problem, proposed solutions, and counter arguments as to the exploit’s perceived negative effects on the in-game economy.
