EVE Online Has Made It Harder For Dominating Factions To Win Insurgencies
Havoc expansion with the introduction of a new faction mechanic aptly called the Ambition Modifier. It essentially prevents any one faction from dominating Insurgencies for too long by adjusting the number of points needed to secure victory with each subsequent win.
“The Ambition Modifier has now been implemented in Havoc, and it will affect the side that regularly wins Insurgencies by requiring more system wins for subsequent victories,” C Games explains. “In effect, this means that the more victorious one side is, the more it will take to keep the winning streak going. This will make the struggle between suppression and corruption more balanced, the fight more gripping, and the achievement of victory all the sweeter.”
The sci-fi MMO’s latest update also adjusted the aggressiveness of the Guristas Pirates and Angel Cartel’s roaming patrols in the H-PA29, G-OQ86, and systems. Going forward, patrols in the said systems will no longer attack players aligned with their respective pirate factions.
Meanwhile, C Games will be holding another EVE Vanguard demo for subscribers from January 25-29 and every month thereafter until June.
There have been a few updates in today's patch relating to Zarzakh and Pirate Insurgencies, along with some graphical and audio updates to systems affected by corruption and suppression.
