Defunct Battle Royale Game The Culling Will Relaunch On Xbox One With A New Business Model
relaunched as a free-to-play game called The Culling: Origins which was also shut down a few months later.
Now, Xaviant Games is back with an announcement that they will, again, be relaunching The Culling: Origins on Xbox One with a new business model. New players will be able to try the game for free for one day, after which they’ll have to pay $5.99 to continue playing. Old players will get the game for free. What’s interesting, is that players will only get to play one online match per day. If they win the match, they’ll get an Online Match Token that they can use to play another online match.
What happens when you lose? According to the official press release, you can either purchase Online Match Token packs to continue playing for $0.99 for 3 tokens, $2.99 for 10, and $4.99 for 20, or purchase Online es for unlimited play. An Online will set you back $1.99 for 7 days and $5.99 for 30 days.
