Deformers' Open Beta Will Begin...Any Time Now
You guys Ready At Dawn, right? The developer of such games as God of War: Chains of Olympus, God of War: Ghost of Sparta, and game I rather liked, but everyone else seemed to detest, The Order: 1886? Its latest project is an oddball "multiplayer combat arena game" called "Deformers," in which players fight each other while playing as ball-shaped animals.
In what seemed like odd timing, the company decided to hold an Open Beta test this weekend, beginning today, April 1st. It quickly turned into seeming like some sort practical joke when there were "issues with Lobbies not starting when they should" shortly after the Open Beta began. The servers briefly came back online afterwards, Ready At Dawn having hoped they had fixed it, but the supposed fix brought with it immediate disconnects.
In the time since its last tweet about the Lobby issues in which it stated that it would provide an ETA once it had determined the cause of the issues, Ready At Dawn has continued to work on fixing these issues. Since it has yet to issue an ETA, we can only assume that it has yet to find a fix.
There is no word on whether the Open Beta will be extended past its original April 3rd at midnight UTC end date, but, should you want to be ready to play the moment the servers come back online, you can the Open Beta client here.
