Das Tal's First 24/7 Test Opens October 31st

Fairytale Distillery announced today that Das Tal's first 24/7 test will be opening in time for Halloween this year. On October 31st at 9 AM UTC, the servers will go live with the intention to stay accessible by founders for more than a few hours for the first time. This test is scheduled to run for eight days or, more specifically, 200 hours.

Only certain founder levels will be able to play, however. Those who have purchased the Harbinger or Vanguard tiers will be given access, while lower tiers will not. Players who were previously given alpha keys will be invited to the test. If you are still on the waiting list, unfortunately, only 100 new alpha testers will be added for this test.

Additionally, players who connect their email to their game will receive an extra key for a friend. This applies to alpha testers and founders who can via the game client. This promotion will only last until October 24th, though, so you will want to to get that done ahead of the test if you want the extra key.

As for the test itself, several major systems are being tested. Long-term clan warfare will be tested for the first time. Settlement buildings and upgrades will be tested, as well, likely for the first time, given the amount of gathering that goes into construction. The game's crafting system has been reworked from the ground up, adding new materials and "strategic choices." Weapon and armor abilities have doubled in number. Custom control configuration has been added. A new zone that showcases the Mountain biome will be introduced in this test, bringing players out of the desert for the first time.
