Com2us' 2016 Financial Results Show Record Highs
Com2us announced its 2016 financial results today and they have exceeded expectations by quite a bit, setting "a record breaking 515 billion KRW in sales," or around $447 million. The company also brought brought in operating profit of 193 billion KRW, or around $167 million, and net profit of 150 billion KRW, or around $130 million. Sales saw a 19% increase year-over-year, operating profit saw a 17% increase year-over-year, and net profit saw a solid 20% increase year-over-year. The company's Q4 sales also set a record at 135 billion KRW, or around $117 million.
Com2us is touting its overseas sales, which for 86% of 2016's total sales, totaling 443 billion KRW, or around $384 million. This figure representsa 22% increase in overseas sales year-over-year. Q4 saw 118 billion KRW, or around $102 million, in overseas sales alone.
Going forward, Com2us intends to "target the global market" more with games such as the Summoners War MMORPG, Project S, Hero Wars 2, and "games utilizing famous North American Console IPs." The company also plans to "continue to introduce games in the major sports genreincluding new baseball, fishing, and golf titles to maintain and strengthen its standing as the strongest mobile sports games provider."
