Black Desert Online Marks 3rd Anniversary On Xbox, Add New PC Items, And Opens Kamasylvia On Mobile

Black Desert Online is celebrating its third anniversary on Xbox and two years of cross-play on consoles with a special anniversary gift for players and other rewards.

From now until March 16^th, will be able to claim an in-game birthday cake and 400 Cron Stones and will also get a 24-hour Hot Time buff that boosts Combat EXP gains by 400% and Skill EXP gains by 100%. Players will also get an additional 50% buff to Item Drop Rates from now until March 9^th and a 50% boost to Life EXP gains from March 9^th to March 16^th. Event details can be found here.

Over on PC, the latest update introduces the new Artifacts and Lightstone items which can be used to further improve and customize classes aside from improving AP and DP. The new items come with an entirely new gameplay system built around them which the developers explain in the latest PC release notes.

“Unlike the pre-existing gear that affects the displayed AP and DP numbers, artifacts and lightstones were designed to give Adventurers more choices that synergizes with their class and playstyle better. Artifacts have two lightstone-only slots and, when a certain combination of three or four lightstones are infused into those slots, an additional combination effect will be applied. It is similar to the current combined magic crystals like the Hoom crystals. There is a wide variety of combination effects to choose from, so there most likely will be something for everyone.”

Lastly, the Black Desert Mobile has also received a big update that opens up the Kamasylvia region for mobile players. The new region comes with an entirely new set of quests and a new boss encounter for players to take on. The mobile version’s latest update also kicks off several springtime events and tweaks the auto-battle feature to make AFK farming more efficient.
