PvP Sandbox MMO Abyss Online Opens s For November Playtest
Abyss Online is a brand-new Unreal Engine 5 PvP sandbox MMO set in a constantly evolving world inhabited by warriors from various real-world civilizations. Developer Old World Labs is now accepting s for a playtest later this month that promises a whole host of new content, including player-submitted maps of all things.
The studio has also added three new biomes with Asian, Orc, and Troll themes, respectively. Each biome also comes with matching unique armor sets. They also promised to add more armored warriors to represent more civilizations such as Samurai, Sengbing, Youxiá, and other iconic Asian warriors.
Unfortunately, the recently added biomes have been causing performance issues which will likely one of the issues that the developers will be working on during the playtest. They’ll also be working to increase server capacity and improve the game’s overall performance.
Old World Labs has yet to lock in a date for the playtest, but if you’re interested in checking the game out, the studio is currently offering a 75% discount on all tiers, bringing the price down to just $5 for the base game, $10 for the mid-tier edition which comes bundled with a collectible, and $20 for the highest tier which includes a collectible emote and an exclusive skin.
All tiers also come with guaranteed access to the closed beta test.
