Bless Unleashed s Steam’s Top 10 Most-Played Games List, DLC Claim Issues To Be Fixed 592r1h
Bless Unleashed has seen a surge of players over the weekend following the highly-anticipated MMORPG’s launch last Friday. Player numbers peaked at nearly 73,800 concurrent players on Monday morning with over 50,000 active players online as of this writing, shooting the Bless Online reboot to the eighth spot on Steam’s Most-Played Games list. In comparison, the original game set an all-time high of 34,392 players on launch day before everything went downhill.
But as we all know, immense popularity can wreak havoc on a game’s servers in the few days and weeks after its launch and Bless Unleashed is no different. While most free-to-play s haven’t run into any major problems yet, there are still issues with lag spikes and congestion in some of the servers which have forced some players to relocate to less populated servers.
Founder’s Pack owners, however, quickly found out that they couldn’t claim their exclusive items and rewards upon moving to a different region or server. The studio promptly apologized for the confusion and have promised to fix the issue as soon as possible.
“To provide a better gaming experience and service, as an apology, adjustments to the Founder's Packs properties will be made for s who purchased either of the Deluxe, Exalted, and or Ultimate Founder's Pack,” said Neowiz. “These s can receive the DLC components in all regions/servers aside from the initial region/server in which they received the rewards. (Lumena and Benefits not included.)”
The patch will be applied during a maintenance downtime in the near future. An exact date has yet to be announced.
Bless Unleashed is off to an incredibly strong start. The game launched on PC just 2 days ago on August 6th and it hit 71,577 concurrent players online earlier today.
This is despite having a 'mixed' score with a Steamdb rating of 47.66%.
Many of the early negative reviews on Steam come from disgruntled Bless Online players, the old version of Bless which launched as a buy to play game in 2018 and shut down in 2019. The game's review score has inched up since launch and while bombarding the game with negative reviews before giving it a chance isn't fair, the first version of Bless felt like such a scam that I think its justified this time around. Still, it's clear that there's a huge audience of players out there looking for a new MMORPG to play. Time will tell if these players stick around or not, but its not abnormal for a game's playerbase to spike at launch and to quickly fall off, especially for free to play games.

Bless Unleashed, Bandai Namco and Round 8 Studios’ Bless Online reboot, is now live on PC nearly two years after the original game shut down its servers in the west. The game initially launched as an Xbox One exclusive in adapted for PC play.
“Bless Unleashed is an epic action MMORPG that takes players on an epic journey across a dynamic, sprawling world and tests their mettle against vicious monsters and in perilous dungeons. Built on the Unreal 4 Engine, Bless Unleashed also features unrivaled graphics for the genre that really immerse players in the vibrant landscapes. Deeply rewarding combo-driven gameplay mechanics and a persistent progression system also add to the complexity of the game.”

“Please know that we are also preparing various updates in the future to keep up the expectations of our s,” said Round 8 Studio Head Koven Park. “New characters, dungeons, regions, and contents such as Guild Vs. Guild are being developed, and we will try out best to update these as soon as possible after launch.”

According to Park, over 40,000 s participated in the final closed beta test, so we know that the servers are up to the task. But knowing how MMORPG launches go, something’s bound to go wrong sooner or later. Fingers crossed.
Bless Unleashed is now free-to-play on Steam. with Founder’ Packs for sale starting at $17.99 for the Deluxe Pack, $35.99 for the Exalted Pack, and $71.99 for the Exalted Pack.
Bless Unleashed from Neowiz officially launches on PC on August 6th, 2021. The game has been available on consoles (Xbox and Playstation) for some time through Bandai Namco, but the PC version is finally launching on Steam in less than 2 weeks (no cross-play).
Bless Unleashed - PC Launch Trailer Final
Bless Unleashed is free to play, so founders packs aren't required to play, but they do offer useful in-game items. Bless Unleashed is an Unreal Engine 4 version of the old Bless Online. It promises better visuals and a more optimized experience. While the original Bless was a buggy and laggy mess, I plan on giving Bless Unleashed a chance when it launches on August 6th.
Bless Unleashed will officially be launching on Steam in less than a month, and as a quick reminder, Round 8 Studios has found it prudent to release a new teaser for the game.
Round 8 first announced their plans to launch the previously Xbox One-exclusive game on PC back in several rounds of beta testing and improvements, promising a Bless Unleashed experience tailored specifically for mouse and keyboard use.
The game is scheduled to launch on PC via Steam on August 6 and is also available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Check out the new teaser trailer below.
After a slight delay, Neowiz and Round 8 Studios are finally ready to release the PC version of Bless Unleashed. The game will be launching on August 6, complete with all the PC-focused improvements and adjustments that the developers have been testing during the series of beta tests that happened over the past year.
A free demo is currently available on Steam from now until June 22 as part of the platform’s Steam Next Fest. The demo includes access to the game’s character creator and tutorial, which should give players an idea of what to expect when the game officially comes out.
Bless Unleashed is also now available for wishlisting on Steam. You can also pre- on the game’s official site.
It looks like Round 8 needs a little more time to get Bless Unleashed ready for its official PC debut as the studio pushes back the game’s official launch to make further adjustments and changes.
“Upon numerous discussions, it was decided that the release date for Bless Unleashed PC will be pushed back until necessary improvements and further in-game polishing is complete,” revealed Head of Development Koven Park. “The studio aims to have the additional developments completed by mid-July, and have high hopes that we will be launch-ready in time for the summer season.”
Based on from the 400,000 or so players who participated in the final PC beta test, the developers will be introducing several key improvements aimed at further optimizing the game for PC s. These include additional UI/UX improvements, numerical skill cooldown timers, a revamp of early-game content and progression, combat and combo changes, as well as better chat filter and character name policies, all of which will be implemented in the launch version of the game.
Round 8 Studios might be willing to go the extra mile to make sure that PC players are happy with Bless Unleashed, but there are apparently some things that they aren’t willing to do.
In their recent developer Q&A post on Steam, the team answered questions about quality-of-life features and whether they’ll be implemented in the full release of the game. These include the option to skip cutscenes, toggle chat censorship, and trade directly with other players outside of the Marketplace. Unfortunately, the answer was a resounding “no” for all of the said features.
When asked about the possibility of earning currency in the game, the team vaguely answered with, “Bless Unleashed PC has the same type currency as Bless Unleashed Console, "Lumena", which can be used for purchasing paid items.” Sounds like another “no” to me.
Players, however, will have the option to for hip which will work similar to the one on the game’s console version.
The Bless Unleashed final PC closed beta test is now underway, which means that it’s only a matter of time before the rest of the gaming community can jump into the game. The final CBT will run until May 17 and will be open to all players who participated in the last two beta tests and to anyone else who’s interested.
This round of testing will feature a working cash shop featuring skins, mounts, and other useful items. Players will be given free currency to allow them to test the cash shop functions and make sure that everything is working as it should.
“It’s been a long road to get here,” said Round 8 Studio Head of Development Jason Park in the official press release. “But we truly believe that Bless Unleashed on PC is going to shine, and that our players will love the change we’ve made in response to their .”
Over the past few months, the team has made several significant improvements to gameplay and the UI to make to tailor-fit the game for PC players. The question is, will it be enough for PC players to get over their disappointment over Bless Online and see Bless Unleashed in a different light?
