Deceit Overview
Trust is put to the test in Deceit, a horror FPS where players are stranded with a group of players. One-third of the group is infected with a virus that transforms them into vicious man-eating creatures. The goal of the infected is to wipe out the humans, while the non-infected seek to escape. Each match consists of three rounds, with phases of darkness called blackouts where infected players prowl using night vision. Actions are perceived in twisted ways, adding to the deceitful atmosphere between the group. Players must make decisions about who to trust and who to be wary of while walking around the dark with a gun in hand. Earn currency in each match that can be used to purchase items in-game. Deception is the name of the game.

- Group Gameplay – matches consist of a group of players, one third of whom will have different objectives from the others.
- Light and Dark – blackout rounds, where players are plunged into darkness.
- Double Meanings – actions will be perceived in questionable ways to add to the deceitful nature of the game.

Development History / Background:
Deceit is a horror FPS developed and published by Automaton, a gaming company based in the UK. The game was first developed on the Unity engine when posted on Valve's Steam Greenlight Community in March 2016. After being greenlit, the developers decided to move the game onto the CryEngine V. Early access was released in October 07, 2016. The game was originally buy to play but went free to play to attract a larger audience.
