Wayfinder Devs Are Fast-Tracking Progression Changes To Address Player Complaints
Last week, Wayfinder released its biggest update yet in the form of The Reaver King. Now that developer Airship Syndicate has had time to address launch issues, the team has shifted their focus back to cranking the fine-tuning knobs with emphasis on addressing player complaints about experience gains and progression.
“We’ve heard you loud and clear. XP progression needs a few tweaks,” the studio acknowledged. “While we had plans to wait until a future season to introduce a few changes at once, we’re going to fast-track some of those changes today to get you leveling your Wayfinders and weapons faster!”
With the release of this week’s patch, players can expect increased experience gains for killing creatures and hunts. The team also fixed a bug that caused some enemies to not give any experience points at all. They’ll also be fast-tracking the release of imbuement-scaling modifiers, XP scrolls, and the Job Board in line with their efforts to fine-tune progression in the action MMORPG.
“We’re looking at new and exciting ways for players to get XP. One of the things we’ll be doing is rethinking the expedition bar,” the team said. “While this was always meant to fill up as you explored expeditions, we think we can do more to reward the level of activities you’re doing.”
“If you come across 2-3 puzzles in a side room, you should get some good loot and XP for completing those,” they added. “We’ll have more on how we’ll address these at a later date. We’re also finalizing plans for double XP weekends and hope to have those implemented soon.”
For now, players can enjoy a massive 386% boost to experience gains from all enemies. That should be more than enough to tide you over until the progression changes arrive.
