Digital Extremes Previews Warframe’s ‘Whispers In The Walls’ Update

Warframe is going full circle and will be bringing players back to where everything started in next month’s Whispers in the Walls update. The update will introduce several new areas to explore, new weapon advancements, and a new Warframe.

The focal point of the update, of course, are the new procedural-generated and open world Entrati lab maps. Players will also be able to hang out in a new Sanctum player hub and take on two new mission types as well as a creepy new enemy called the Murmur that’s described as “amalgamations of inconceivable limbs and brutalist geometry.”

Whispers in the Walls will also add a new secondary weapon in the form of the Grimoire which can be used to cast Eldritch Blasts. The update will also bring melee gameplay up to par with primary and secondary weapons with the introduction of the Tennokai melee system. It’s basically a new mod system that allows players to imbue weapons with the Tennokai skill which will then grant players the ability to occasionally unleash a heavy-hitting melee attack without u their combo counter.

In addition to the new map and gameplay systems, Whispers in the Wall will also mark the debut of the space ninja game’s 55th Warframe, Qorvex, and Gauss Prime. Cross-platform saves will also be rolled out in phases starting in December. For now, you can check out the teaser trailer below.
